Phobic

Don’t go out of your little house,

For a big monster is at large.

Even the movements of a mouse

Are detected by eyes that bulge.

Every life it will denounce

And turn into its choco fudge.

Don’t ever think you can sneak out,

Because it’s on the great tower,

It’s in the streets, up and about,

With all eight limbs flying over,

And with a wide, venomous mouth,

Even if you rush for cover.

So stay home, within the strong walls,

In the silent and safe, wide halls,

Away from the parks and the malls.

Let’s read books about the outdoors,

It’s a world where it can’t kill us,

Away from the real horrors

That have no shape, color, nor mass,

Going everywhere with every force.

Safe indoors, locked behind clear glass.
